Stump grinding is a more cost efficient way to take care of a stump, when
stump grinding you will be able to plant another tree but it will be needed
to go ground 24 inches, but this is not a common thing. The reasoning for
this is because with stump grinding you do not fully remove the tree’s root
system. Stump removal is when you completely remove everything
involving the tree. Stump removal is necessary if you are looking to
replant a tree, and or any foundation repair.
The Benefits of Stump grinding.
The first benefit as stated above is indeed the price. The second benefit of
grinding is that it doesn’t require a lot of big equipment (Bobcats,
excavators) all you need is the stump grinder and it can be done. Another
good benefit with this ties in with the last, that it is much less likely to
cause any damage to the yard and make it a simple fix to fill in where the
stumps were ground.
Benefits to Stump removal
When fully removing the stumps it removes the root system, with that being done that
means that you will not have to worry about any of the root systems interfering with any
underground utilities or items. If the tree you removed had a disease then it could
possibly spread to other trees through the root system and infect others. With removing
the root system you also do not have to worry about stump sprouting. This is when your
old tree’s root system begins to start growing again.
